Safari Guru and Wilderness Safaris are delighted to share our support for Westpac Rescue Helicopter by offering a world-class safari in Botswana as part of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Safari Auction.
Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on the planet, Botswana offers guests exclusivity, unmatched safari indulgence and the chance to connect with nature and experience raw Africa.
A Life-enriching Safari with Wilderness Destinations
Safari Guru invites the two lucky Westpac Rescue Helicopter Safari Auction winners on a four-night safari in what has got to be one of Earth’s most beautiful environments.
To begin your journey, you will depart Maun International Airport by light aircraft. The first of many thrills, you’ll see the mighty Okavango Delta unfurl before you as you cruise above herds of elephants crossing plains and hippos wallowing in glistening waterways.
Upon arrival at Wilderness Savuti Camp and Qorokwe Camp, your private guide will spend the next four days immersing you in the wilds of Botswana, where you’ll discover prolific wildlife and an abundance of birds, take a mokoro ride on the Delta’s pristine water channels, indulge in locally-sourced cuisine and learn from expert local guides on twice daily game drives. And after a day of spotting elusive cats, herds of elephants, hippos, giraffes and even African wild dogs, you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the wild in the comfort of your luxury safari tent.
Qorokwe Camp Botswana is a new and contemporary safari camp with excellent wildlife viewing and service on a private concession in Botswana's Okavango Delta.
Situated in their private 64,692-acre concession, Qorokwe overlooks a very active hippo-rich lagoon frequented by Botswana's mass of elephants and African buffalo. The magnificent main area is the focal point of the camp and overlooks a lagoon and its inspiring infinity pool. The dining area, lounge, library and bar have been built on raised wooden platforms connected by walkways.
The camp comprises eight elegant tented suites, with en-suite facilities including indoor and outdoor showers, and a very spacious family unit with its own splash pool.
The diverse habitats of the south-eastern Okavango support a wealth of wildlife, earning the area's well-deserved reputation as a top Botswana safari destination. It owes its productivity to the mix of habitat types between its western and eastern borders: the Santantadibe and Gomoti Channels.

Savuti Camp is a beautifully built safari camp overlooking the Savute Channel, right in the heart of Wilderness Safaris private Linyanti Concession, in northern Botswana.
The channel, a sporadic and unusual watercourse, either flows strongly in the wet years or remains dry altogether, leaving the camp overlooking a rich grassland that attracts wildlife from across the region. Regardless of water levels, both plains game and predators thrive here and exploring the length of the channel and its associated woodlands (riverine forest and dense mopane) is a highlight and offers a remarkable safari experience.
This classic and authentic safari camp offers wooden flooring and raised walkways. The central area is a large, open-sided thatch and wood structure decorated with typical Botswana basketwork and artefacts. The dining area, elevated bar and large viewing deck offer great views, often with masses of elephants visiting the camp's permanent waterhole. Savuti lends itself to good old-fashioned hospitality, and a busy fire pit provides excellent warmth and atmosphere as we have come to expect from a top-class African bush lodge.
