Another safari crafted with knowledge and passion; Safari Guru's 9-Day Zambia Highlights Safari. This time exploring Zambia's Iconic destinations in one seamless journey sharing what this magnificent holiday destination has to offer. Zambia is untamed, gloriously wild and untouched, perfect for those seeking a remote, authentic yet luxurious experience. We've just made your journey planning straightforward and cost-effective for the ideal African adventure for first-time safari-goers and safari purists alike.
This 9-Day Zambia Highlights Safari is perfect for couples or friends wishing to travel together, or even singles possibly making friends of a lifetime!
Your 9-Day Zambia Highlights Safari takes you to two of Zambia's most desirable wilderness areas, where you will experience Africa's spectacular wildlife species, including most of the Big 5; elephants, lions, leopards and buffalo - Technically, Zambia has all the Big Five, but rhinos are extremely rare and confined to the Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls), which is exactly where we have you ending your awe-inspiring journey - unless your wanderlust seeks more!
Your first stop is South Luangwa National Park - one of the most popular parks in un-touristy Zambia. The Luangwa River contains the largest concentration of hippos and crocodiles in the entire world! It creates an explorer's dream as it meanders through the wide valley floor of the park, creating a system of oxbow lagoons and ending in the mighty Zambezi. The winter months are the perfect time to visit South Luangwa, which is only open six months of the year – getting steadily hotter toward its close in October.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is your second stop. One of the most scenically diverse areas in Africa, with its jaw-dropping mountainous backdrop of the Zambian escarpment behind which the sun sets. Here you will find beautiful forests of albizia trees along the banks of the simply stunning Zambezi River, teeming with wildlife and birds and offering fantastic catch-and-release sport fishing.
Lastly, your fantastic safari adventure includes three nights at the world-famous Victoria Falls, forming a border between the far south of Zambia and Zimbabwe, where a monumental volume of water thunders down into a narrow gorge below. An area David Livingstone once described as "Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by Angels in their flight….”
Your 9-Day Zambia Highlights Safari kicks off at Chindeni Bushcamp, a remarkable destination perfectly nestled in the heart of the South Luangwa National Park.
