Namibia journeys offer something no other safari country can: space, silence and scale on a scale few travellers have experienced. This is a safari where the landscape is as much of an attraction as the wildlife, and where the stars at night are part of the experience. Safari Guru knows Namibia’s remote regions, camps and flight routes first-hand. That lets us design journeys that go well beyond the classic self-drive loop.

From the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and the UNESCO-listed Namib Sand Sea to the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Africa's first International Dark Sky Reserve, Namibia journeys offer extraordinary variety. In the rugged northwest, the Kunene and Damaraland regions are home to desert-adapted elephant and the largest free-roaming population of black rhino in the world, which you can track on foot with expert guides. Further north, Etosha National Park draws large numbers of wildlife to its waterholes, while the wild Skeleton Coast combines seal colonies, shipwrecks and sweeping desert views. Himba culture, ancient San rock art and scenic flights over the dunes add further depth.
Namibia is vast, so how you travel matters as much as where you stay. A well-designed journey combines fly-in camps, scenic light-aircraft transfers and carefully chosen lodges. That way you spend more time in remote areas and less time on long gravel roads.
For the highest level of luxury, Safari Guru can create itineraries through Wilderness, whose camps include Hoanib Skeleton Coast, Serra Cafema on the Kunene River, Little Kulala at Sossusvlei and Desert Rhino Camp. Other outstanding options include &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, Zannier Sonop and Ongava on the southern boundary of Etosha. For distinctive medium-to-high-end stays, we work with Natural Selection, including Shipwreck Lodge on the Skeleton Coast, Kwessi Dunes in the NamibRand and Hoanib Valley Camp. Each offers a strong sense of place, excellent guiding and outstanding value.
Safari Guru brings the right camps, regions and flights together into one seamless Namibia journey. We can pair Sossusvlei's dunes with rhino tracking in Damaraland, add Etosha's waterholes or the Skeleton Coast, or tailor a family, photographic, honeymoon, fly-in or high-end luxury safari around how you like to travel.
There is no single best Namibia camp or season. Wildlife around Etosha's waterholes peaks in the dry winter months, while the desert regions are rewarding all year. Let Safari Guru recommend the combination that is right for you.
Namibia also pairs beautifully with Botswana, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Cape Town.

Safari Guru planned our journey to Namibia to perfection. We got to see Windhoek and its surroundings, the huge red dunes in Sossusvlei , climb Big Daddy at dawn, and take a balloon ride across the moon-like vastness of Namib-Naukluft. From there, we took a magnificent private plane journey up the Skeleton Coast to stay at the parks in the north and cross into Etosha. The flow and pace of the trip were just right, we couldn't have done this vacation without their expertise, and their knowledge of the destination was second to none. We can't thank them enough.
