Singita Lebombo’s setting and design are spectacular and dramatic. This contemporary lodge sits almost suspended on a cliffside above the n’wanetsi river, with its sister property, the slightly smaller but equally luxurious Singita Sweni, tucked down below under the canopy of trees beside the Sweni River.
Both lodges sit in Singita’s 33,000-acre private concession in the southeastern corner of the renowned Kruger Park close to the Mozambique border. Lebombo Lodge’s cutting-edge design has thirteen glass-walled open-planned suites hanging off the cliff at various levels; each suite has everything you might imagine and more! The plan was inspired by the numerous eagles’ nests built into the cliff face of the nearby river bank. The vibe is contemporary African, taking full advantage of the dramatic setting allowing the light and views to stream in. The result is organic structures that seem to float between the river and the sky.
There is also an exclusive-use villa and two 2-bedroom suites, each with a private pool set apart from the lodge. It includes a full-staff complement, private boma, open-plan kitchen, and airy living areas that spill onto inviting outdoor spaces with a large pool.
