Lamai Serengeti has a sensational location atop a vast granite kopje. During the day, there are unbeatable views of the plains below, and at night you feel like you’re sleeping in a giant’s rock gardens.
Considered one of the Serengeti’s most stylish camps, and conveniently just a few miles from the Mara River and its famous crossing points. The open-fronted bedrooms are peppered around Kogakuria Kopje, a tumble of giant boulders that stands proud above the northern Serengeti grasslands.
This family-friendly camp welcomes children of 8 years and older and allows bushwalking for 12 years old and above. Private guides are available on request and are always a good idea for families travelling with younger ones.
The camp has in total twelve rooms, of which three offer child-safe annexes with adjoining twin room and sharing the bathroom. The stone and thatch constructed accommodations are all raised on wooden decking and all en-suite.
